Kujyu “Yume” Otsurihashi

Take a Walk in the Sky to Enjoy Fabulous Views

Opened in 2006, the Kokonoe “Yume” (Dream) Otsurihashi is proud to be the highest walkable suspension bridge in Japan. It features a length of 390 meters, a height of 173 meters, and a width of 1.5 meters.

Its greatest highlight is the majestic view of Shindo no Taki, a waterfall comprising male and female falls. This is considered to be one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan. In addition, there is a duckboard in the middle of the bridge offering sweeping views of the old-growth forest of the Naruko River Ravine. Feel the power of nature up close with the impact of this place.

Depending on the weather, the bridge will appear to be floating in the clouds, so it is possible to see mystical scenery. Spring’s fresh verdure and Autumn’s red leaves also offer beauty to feast your eyes upon.

What’s more, as you take in views of the Kuju Mountain Range in the distance, perhaps you can understand why this bridge is called, “The Walkway to the Sky”!
